Cut! That’s a wrap!

It’s September 1st, 2021, 07:52 when I write this. I didn’t stay up to see the clock tick down the last seconds of August, but another edition of the Great Wargaming Survey is in the bag. Everyone relax, we’ll stop badgering you for another 11 months to take some time to fill it in (/out: pick your preference). An enormous expression of gratitude is due to everyone who took the time to respond to our questions, helped promote it, and of course to our sponsors. I have to download the data and separate out the email addresses before I can tell Guy to pick 30-odd numbers between 1 and, well, the total number of email addresses left for the awards draw. After that, they go in the bin and nobody else gets to see them. The data stripped of any identifiable information will then go to our team, which has grown as another wargamer with experience in this kind of research has come forward. That should allow for a different view and new questions to be answered with the data. If you have questions you’d like to see answered, feel free to post them below! Numbers-wise, 2021 has been a huge success! We changed survey systems which seems to have been an improvement in the UI (not for everyone, I know, we’ve taken notes for next year!). Counting the same way as SurveyMonkey did, we had an incredible 12182 responses with a 91.7% completion rate. That’s nearly 1400 more responses compared to the previous record of 2019.
